Hey there!
Twitter recently announced they have removed the 140 character limit on direct messages.
You can now chat on and on with fellow Twitter users, without having to re-write your messages until they’re short enough, or sending several in a row to get your point across.
According to Twitter's blog, this removal of character limits on DMs has already been updated on Android, iOS, twitter.com, TweetDeck and Twitter for Mac.
It will continue to roll out worldwide over the next few weeks.
Twitter probably did this to better compete with other social platforms, such as Facebook’s Messenger, which offer similar features.
However, it still stands apart in the industry by maintaining its 140 character limit on public tweets.
So, while you’re still limited on your length of tweets, you can now DM to your heart’s desire, limit-free.
Have a great week,
Ingrid
